that's a good side view

one small modification
the gun will need a hinge / handle within the drivers range to operate it without having to leave its driving seat

the original game .. afterall had 1 robot per vehicle

raising one arm to aim it and fire

im aiming for a low poly version of the bodies used by allan and brad with the distinctive corset the large belly buckle and somewhat rectangular extruded breast plates later on ill be reviewing fan made content and see if the owners like these to be added this model might look crude but it will be ...

I made a little progress
I successfully made, imported, animated a "with bone animated cube" in unity

with its succes i moved on making the skeleton (as shown in the image) for the robots
ps: proportions are still subject to change

well the things I found so far model support scrolling shader support (for tracks) network support (for later) a build in navigation / path finder class (but still might want to use my own ) bones player (for animations witch is lacking in the development tool im working now on, that only suports ke...

im looking into the unity development ide since I have little confidence in the performance of the software im using now witch tends to be slow and I want allot of robots, tank and whatevers on the screen at the same time and not allow the users to grab a cup of coffy between every shot fired out of...

or like a turret for the robots to stick their weapons out

with 1 man jeep
the robot needs to visually drive it and man the gun when needed

as for tanks driven by 1 robot
a usb slot turning the tank into their body is one way
another thing is that robots are rly quick

I wouldn't build these, for 1 they have to many wheels
wheels means more geometric detail, means more gpu intensive scenes
but
i do like your color sceme
white wheels green and redish brown

got side tracked by a old project
this week i will be focusing on animations
ill need that for the robots.. like walking
i have to get it right on both blender and the development tool to make it work

ill post some ugly pics once i made a walking leg ^^

yes the development tool I'm using supports 3d graphics including keyframe animations made in blender dx9 shaders << but for the sake of keeping it tunie ill be avoiding them class based programming it can do net support but im not very familiaur with p2p conections so multi player is a bit far away...

I figured ill need a map editor sooner or later
also for laying paths and tweeking technical map details .. you know, where can robots walk, where can tanks drive or not
so I scrapped together a tile painter
later on ill add more stuff

as for the gameplay I was thinking of chopping it up into peace's with first a remake of the original game containing all the aspects ranging from the fort, the factories, the units and the vehicles down to the boxes filled with grenades but people will be losing interest pretty fast if playing the...
