it wasnt named Z2 so there is no Z2

imo thats a good loophole for doing a new sequel after a changed game flopped ;]

Maybe that's because over 10 million people have Doom for the PC, and I can only imagine a few thousand who have Z (if that).

I really want to see some work in progress, or at least more info.
I really can't wait any longer.
From the looks of it it will take at least another year.

To bad we don't got any words from them on the progress, makes me wonder if they started on it and if the progress is going as planned.

What you guys think about the release date?

I think it will take a lot more than one year. They are only two and zillion of your wishes :). I just hope that they don't give up and at least make z and z95 working under windows XP (and possibly linux :D )

I was thinking of that perhaps we could get any, literally -any- ETA on the game. A solo programmer I know has made a single (by the looks, simple) game, but it took him three years and the sequel to it is taking even more...

So I would really like to know approximately when to expect this version of Z, 2007? 2008?

And is there any proof that tese people are indeed from the Bitmap Brothers and not just some people making pranks on us (which i hope isn't so, and sorry for the question), any proof of the new Z?

Yeah, I just can't help thinking the Bros. are "dead" and loosing hope!!
Even if they say they didn't start working on it at least we know that!

*BUMPY*

When does the hurting stop?
Any signs of life anyone?...Zod?
FFS give us a sign of life, ANY sign!

I would even donate money to speed things up or let them show any sign that they are working on it, and show some ideas/art work etc etc.

Give us info on game progress or give us the source ;)
Anyone got the address, then I'll go check it out myself, can't wait any longer.

It's like the best game in the world, it's not just me it's just a fact, and they don't promote or show anything about it, what's the deal, why don't they just say the arn't working on it.

So much precious time waisted, we could have the source code and have lots of fun, but no....
I'm totally lost.

Hi all,

didn't wanna be too quick with comments, but in fact I haven't got any reply from the Bros in some time now. Mike wasn't able to fill in on the status lately. So I am worried too.

I am trying to get a hold of them regularly and if news come in I will post it in the ZZone right away.

Sorry for not having any better news for now...

Do you have any contacts of "last Bitmap Brothers", maybe working emails? The email from their old site does not work for ages...

Wow.. That's some news I hear. I do hope that they will continue their work on Z:XP, because I would love to replay the good ol' Z games again. Had the game once, but lost it somehow. :(

Oh by the way, this is my first post on the forums.

Welcome to the forum!

If you're looking for a replacement for your copy of Z, search these boards a bit. Alternately, you may want to buy another live copy of it on Amazon or something; see the subforum dedicated to that subject for tips on how to do this.

I already found it on the internet, so no trouble there. (I kinda got the copy and dosbox to run it.) But I really wish for Z XP, since that will allow me to play without all the hassle all the time. ^^;

Also, it's a good that 'Z' is revived in a remade version. Perhaps that will bring the number of Z players up quite a bit if it gets popular. ;)

What news? I continue to refine the game or leave it?
