Looks awesome... nice sketches man! ;)

Its nice, and it isn't unnecessarily complicated ( a bit like Z itself ^^), so, awesome =D
I'm afraid the server z game 2 is full. However, I have set up two more:-

For Z95 players ONLY!!!, use:
Name: Z95!
Password: Tom
For DOSBox-Z players ONLY!!!, use:
Name: DOSBox-Z!
Password: Tom
Have fun!

Yeah, I was wondering... Figured he meant the sketch Ballwin posted.

And hey... At least this is a productive use of free time, eh? Looking forward to seeing more soon.

Nice, i'm having a mess around with 3d modelling but i'm a very new to it. I just like to pick it up every so often and mess around and this topic has kinda got me in the mood to try something. :)

yeah go for it Ravey! :)

I might change engines... then I will do all the coding myself.
I can code anything for Quake1, so Darkplaces might be the engine of choice, then this game would be standalone and not require anything like QuakeWars. Might reach a bigger fanbase.

Character concepts will be started this weekend by my mate. Got another mate at work here who will be doing all the animation work too!

Just made the gatling gun turret.

hmm.. not sure what to make this afternoon

Christ, just how fast are you pumping out these models? :D

Grenades look good, robot factory AWESOME, Gattling looks a bit toyish but still excellent as a remake :)

Do I smell potential here?

I have the xp patch for Z now, but I cannot seem to get the audio working.
I downloaded VDMSound but that doesn't seem to like WindowsXP much at all. :(

No audio at all? I know there's a problem with the music but the sound should be working fine I think...

Here we go, grenade ammo box pickup.

I know it's not much but I'm feeling really sick at the moment.

So things will slow down in pace a bit, hopefully I can get things going again faster asap.

hell you?re fast. Are you just as fast with textures?

@grenades: could you do the fuse-ring (the ring you pull if you wanna make the grenade blow up) a little less-detailed , maybe just with a texture with alpha-channels (where you just see the ring?s cycle itself and the rest is transparent).
this would save polygones.
remember: in a strategy-game you want see these small details.

Could you please post wireframes-shots next?

Oh and please just edit your posts. you dont have to make a new post everytime you want to update
