talk about the dosboxserver.exe software under java and compiled for windows , does anyone to know how to run this software under Linux ? As the source is provided , it can be recompiled under different operating system ..

I don't really think that you can use the same source code for Linux. But could be possible of course.

At Zed fan community (an old games ) we used your software dosbox server , and we really want to thank you .. It does run very well ..
we have played multiplayer ipx game using it , without lags (not like hamachi) and we enjoyed it ..

howewer we where thinking how to run it on an Linux based pc ... Do you know how to do it , or have some information , as source is provided we suppose it possible to recompile it and run it ..

Hi,
nice to see you are using this program. The cool thing about Java is it's cross-platform. You can run the program on Linux by opening a console, going to the directory and run 'java Main' or 'java Main 1234' for a different port. Of course you need a JRE installed.
As a small sidenote, you say you need Hamachi if using DOSBox only. But this is not the case, the server built into DOSBox works the same way as
my standalone version does.
