I've started working on the APC which requires a few different tiers of development. I haven't had a lot of time to work for the past few weeks and I will probably not have a ton of time in the coming weeks as I am preparing to move and the people i am working for now continually send me away for work.

Since the Wonderous Freaknigh is very busy at the moment I was hoping to keep this thread alive as we all await the final product.

I will pose this question: What is your favorite Z memory? I was just a kid when it first came out and anxiously awaited the nextlevel, huddled around the computer we would wait to see the video and the new planet videos as they came!

(P.S. Good luck Freaknigh with your studies!) (ohh and Ron Paul is Bad A$$! The man knows his stuff!)

Thanks Zlove, I was introduced to ron paul from the talk show host alex jones who just interviewed ron paul yesterday. I just remember the swearing being hilarious. The game was definitely hard as hell back then =). I loved the extra long cut scenes between planets best.

Yea, one of the reasons I love the game so much is that it is a real challenge. The AI was real tough.

Favorite Planets anyone? (I always liked jungle... even though my robots would get eaten every so often..)

I think the AI was not really good, because in higher levels the blue team has much more start units than you. Sometimes > 200% more Startunits. Thats the reason why the last levels are harder! But in the time the game was developed the cpus are not really good and thats also the reason why the bitmap brothers used this trick.

Yeah jungle is definetly the best planet ever. The music was awesome. I think, also a reason why i like the game so much is the detailed graphic. Crocodiles, Snakes, Birds ...

Awh yeah Ron Paul is a good guy really. i know a lot of people even here in germany watch alex jones movies and listen to his shows and also know Ron Paul. God America is so heading the wrong direction without him!
this is getting way off topic.

City was cool. I always liked "parking lot" level. It was fun trying to get as many of those vehicles as possible.

I'm now coding again, working on the APC. I've completed the language learning until at least when I get there.

YEAH, the APC effects are very cool.

But, the energy of the APCs is a little bit less? Because in the movie ( > 2:00 ) you will see a APC with Lasers lose against 6 normal Lasers without APC.

The effects of destroyed apc looks really great! :shake:
