Re: The Zod Engine
Bah only took me all day to figure out how to convert the midi files to wav and get them playing in the code. lol
it looks like the main music files for the levels need to be cut up?

Re: The Zod Engine
An official update. I do not want to make an official release until you can atleast move units around on the map. Right now all of the units are rendered and the zones / buildings take on their proper owners. Also you are capable of selecting units properly. Sounds have been installed in the game however most are not loaded yet. Multiplayer is fully functional with an unlimited player limit. I can do things like rush straight to unit movement and firing upon each other, but really there is lots of little things that need to be done all over the place.

Any more youtube videos for us?
Its a fun way for us to keep track of your project.

Re: The Zod Engine
Yup
Just found a vid maker for windows "camstudio". Please keep in mind this is youtube quality! This engine is smoking in reality. Also it shows the windows mouse over the Z mouse, that doesn't happen, the cam program put it there for some reason. *checks to see if there is an option to stop this in camstudio* yup =/ The next vid wont have this.....
Enjoy =)

Also, I am planning on making it so you can set waypoints, which will be incredibly useful as this is a capture the flag based game. Now you can tell one robot group to waypoint capture 4 territories so you can get to setting your initial build units etc...

Re: The Zod Engine
Is it just me or are the music/sounds too basey?

Listen to some of those, seem sharper to me and clearer.

Re: The Zod Engine
That is because the Z in the video is the DOS version, which has some sound-card specific audio crap while Z95 utilizes the MIDI protocol. For Zod Engine the sounds were converted to WAV from Z95.
Ideally, someone were to remix the sound track to achieve maximum quality.

Re: The Zod Engine
I've always thought someone should try to achieve some high quality remix of Z tunes. I think I can search up the internet for a good audio software and make a try on it.
Always great improvements Freaknigh, love to see your achievements!

Re: The Zod Engine
I've noticed that there are some sound differences in the midi files, but I played the volcanic level background music that I have and it sounded like the sound in that video so.

Re: The Zod Engine
Not very smart trajectory for the medium tank, but nice to see all units moving!
